How Can Businesses Use Social Distancing Signage?

6/22/2020

As businesses begin to reopen from the COVID-19 pandemic, social distancing signage is becoming a necessity.

Ultimately, your business should strive to meet one goal; to keep clients, visitors, and co-workers safe. As we begin navigating these new times, it’s time to adapt and adjust.

Hence, social distancing signage acts as a great tool to keep our businesses and people visiting your business safe. As we begin to reopen, this is a vital time for safety and consideration.

Fundamentally, as business owners, we need to help our customers adapt to the "new normal." When it comes to social distancing signage related to COVID-19, we must take action.

As each business is unique, every individual has their own unique approach to social distancing reminders.

We find that many businesses are using social distancing signage such as floor graphics to keep customers and employees safe.

So, what now? We have chosen to prioritize safety and take action.

Now, let’s take a deeper look at the best way to use this new "social distancing signage."

Consider Social Distancing Signage Personalized for Your Business or Industry

Let’s start looking into the true impact of social distancing signage. The CDC guidelines recommend staying at least 6 feet away from other individuals when out in public.

However, when in a grocery store, hospital, restaurant, pharmacy, etc., this can be difficult.

Alternatively, people can simply forget about these new guidelines and slip back into old ways.
To keep everyone safe, social distancing signage can be applied to your store or physical space.

Consider some of these options to show clients and employees that you are taking necessary precautions:
  • Floor Decals

One popular social distancing signage option is a Floor Decal. These vinyl decals are applied to your store or shop’s smooth or textures aisles or floor to remind people about social distancing.

Alternatively, these signs can be used to signal one-way traffic. One-way traffic has been a popular method for reducing head-on interaction with other customers in the same store or aisle.

Notably, these floor decals can be removed with no damage to the flooring space. As stores progressively return to normalcy, these decals can be removed seamlessly.
  • Pavement Decals

What if you could reduce the traffic in your store or location altogether? Many businesses have been turning to a curbside pickup service to continue operations.

Plus, many businesses are predominantly operating from take-out orders. Thus, pavement decals act as a great addition to these businesses.

Depending on the township you live in or the location of your business, they can mark specific parking spaces as Take-Out or Pick-Up spots, you can ensure clients can quickly come in and out of your store.
By reserving these spaces near your storefront, customers can easily come and go.

Plus, the professionalism of a proper pavement decal will show clients how much you care for them. It’s truly a win-win situation.

These decals can be applied to smooth or textured sidewalks or pavement. Plus, they can be removed easily when no longer needed.
  • Window Graphics

Social distancing signage goes beyond informing to stay ‘six feet apart’. With window graphics, you can inform clients of the current state of your business.

Currently, many businesses are operating with new or adjusted hours. Or, you are only comfortable with a certain number of customers in the store simultaneously.

If this is the case, make sure your customers are aware! With a customized window graphic, you can rest assured that your clients are informed and prepared.
These vinyl window graphics can be customized with any message that you would like to convey to your customers.

Tagged with your logo and unique brand design, it’ll fit right into your image.

Hence, these signs can be a great addition to your business. Inform clients, reinforce your brand, and enhance your professionalism. Sounds good to us!

Beyond these options, social distancing signage takes many forms.

Start Protecting Your Business and Community During COVID-19

For a little while, social distancing signage will be the new normal. Plus, clients will notice!

We have just given you a small sample of the signage options for your business; ultimately, there are many, many more.

Whether outdoor banners, freestanding informational banners, privacy screens, business backdrops, or more, we are in a new stage of business.

As always, we strive to learn, adapt, and overcome. Let’s get through this together, keeping our customers, employees, and communities safe!

Have you started using other social distancing signage for your company?

I appreciate that this post highlighted that floor decals can be used to encourage social distancing amongst customers and staff. Assuming that I own a shop, I do believe it is important for us to encourage social distancing while the pandemic is still at large. I will definitely look into floor decals as an option.

It's interesting when you shared that floor decals can be a great way to provide social distancing signage for stores. It is undeniable that the COVID-19 pandemic has been impacted our normal lives significantly as we have to always keep our distance from people wherever we go. I would like to think if a shop owner is thinking of providing social distancing signage in his store, he should consider implementing floor decals by getting them from a reliable supplier.

I can see how a business could really benefit from getting the right kind of vinyl signage on their floors in order to be a lot safer. Making sure that they can get some help from a professional could allow them to be more effective. It was interesting to learn about how they will be easy to see by the front of the store, and can be easily applied to smooth, and textured sidewalks.

It was really interesting when you explained that floor decals are a popular method for enforcing social distancing. When installing floor graphics, you would probably want to make sure that they are made out of a durable material. You would need the graphics to last for a long time since people will be walking over them.

I like that you talked about using vinyl window graphics to convey the message that you want to share with customers. I can imagine having custom business sign manufacturing services to create catchy lines that people can read from your window store. Personally, I would get curious and actually enter the establishment if I see signs like that, and probably buy whatever they can offer if I liked it.

Signage are really useful in this pandemic situation, but with time we all have seen different variants of covid-19. I will suggest to use digital signage to keep informed and safe to all the visitors, customers, stake holders, staff, etc. Single digital signage display can be used for multiple works.

Thanks for sharing this. It makes a lot of sense. I knew the numbers didn’t work when I was given low quotes from several internet based companies.

In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, many businesses are struggling to find ways to operate safely. One way businesses can help keep their employees and customers safe is by using social distancing signage. By placing signs throughout their store or office, businesses can remind people to stay six feet apart and help prevent the spread of the virus. Additionally, businesses can use signage to direct foot traffic in a way that minimizes contact between people.

Social distancing is one of the most important preventative measures we can take to reduce the spread of the virus, and businesses must make sure they are compliant with local regulations. Signage is a great way for businesses to help their customers and employees feel safe while still maintaining social distancing rules.

Thank you for saying that when tagged with your logo and distinctive brand design, it will blend in well with your image. My mother wants to have signed with her brand on them. I'll recommend that she get the customized business signage.
